1,600 visitors into Pollenarium in one day!
Pollenarium was part of Barking Riverside’s Emerge East festival programme, now in its fifth year.
Over 30 art and educational workshops were held in schools and community settings for residents and local communities which highlighted the importance of pollination. A daytime ‘Pollinator Parade’ at Emerge East featured artworks created by over 1000 local children, young people and their families. A legacy of the artwork in the borough saw local artists commissioned to work with young people on their own environmentally themed art installations.
This year’s festival programme also featured a headline set from DJ AG, alongside a line-up of artists and performers, street food, creative workshops, interactive experiences and activities for all ages.
In just one day 1599 visitors came into the Pollenarium.
